Opening Saturday January 19, Toronto Public Library will present Art Under Cover, an exhibition of artists* books that challenge the traditional perception of books as strictly narrative. The exhibit will feature books with unique three-dimensional forms, distinctive covers and unusual textures and shapes. Highlights include books designed in the shape of a fan, a corset, a window blind and earrings. Designed to engage, amuse and even puzzle the viewer, Art Under Cover is a spectacular representative selection of rarely seen pieces from the special collections of Toronto Public Library.
