
Can’t make it to Rio for Carnaval? Well tear off your parka ‘cause Samba Squad is bringing Rio to Lula Lounge with a Brazilian Carnaval party on Friday, February 1st.
Led by award-winning percussionist, RICK SHADRACH LAZAR, SAMBA SQUAD fuses Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, North and West African rhythms with elements of funk and hip-hop generating a high energy blast of non-stop, heart-pounding rhythms.
Special guest vocalists on February 1st include Alberto Alberto, Eliana Cuevas and Laura Mae Lindo, as well as Toronto veteran musicians Levon Ichkhanian and Gordon Sheard.
