If you are looking to rent a car and happen to get Avis on Bloor between Yonge and Church (this is the one in the underground that connects to The Bay and many other stores as well as the Bloor Street subway), you have to check your bill.
They now have a new sign that automatically charges you for your gas if you've driven less than 125 kilometres for the duration of your rental unless you tell them otherwise. The problem lies with the person that handles the car returns. He doesn't listen to you and tells you that once he prints a receipt, he is unable to handle changing it and makes you go back to the main desk to have it changed. Further problem lies with the people at the desk pictured here - they don't know how to change the bill either! So they hand write the supposed transaction fees only to realize a day later that your credit card was charged for the fuel that you've insisted needed to be removed because you purchased fuel at the gas station prior to returning the car (and you returned the car with a full tank of gas).
Such is the drama that unfolds at this Avis rental car office EVEN if you are an elite member and have been renting from this office for many years. Further problems (1) They don't remember you even you rent there every other week for 6 months in a row (2) They don't print out your contract even if you are in a preferred service status that requires them to do so as they tell you that they are busy (have you seen this place? It's not busy)
If you've experienced a similar problem at this location, do post your comments here as well. ~Ed

I had a similar problem at Las Vegas Avis rental desk. The staff there are simply too dumb for words.
