C5 Restaurant

c5.jpgThis review is not about the new C5 restaurant at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) but about their process of getting a discount for ROM members. If you forgot your membership card and happen to be on the 5th floor of the ROM and wandered to a potentially fabulous cafe, don't even think of getting any discount because the host will not help you. She will not call down to the membership desk on the ground floow even if she can (there's a phone in front of her). She will not even cross check with your government issued ID to confirm that you are really who you say you areNotWorldClass. She will not even seat you while she is figuring this out. Guess who she asked because she wasn't sure if this was going to be considered or not? A waitstaff. Not a manager. So what's the point of spending thousands of dollars (yes you read that right) to the ROM when I cannot even get any discount on a cafe meal when my money helped built this cafe in the first place?! I did not go in. This process sucks and needs to be upgraded immediately. I will rate the cafe once they fix this process. Right now its NOT WORLD CLASS AT ALL. ~richard
