Spiderman 3 or Eating Out 2 Sloppy Seconds

eatingout2.jpgspiderman3.jpg

We saw Spiderman 3 at a Cineplex and Eating Out 2 at the gorgeous UofT's Isabel Bader Theatre. The only thing similar between these two movies is the fact that they're both sequels...or maybe not.

World ClassSpiderman 3 has a confused eyeshadowed goth-wearing weird dancing Peter Parker persona when he's wearing the black suit while Eating Out 2 Sloppy Second's gay Kyle tries to play straight just to get a bicurious guy in bed. Spiderman has three main villains - the Sandman, Green Goblin and Gwen Stacey who will do anything to get what they want. Eating Out 2 has three main characters all wanting Troy (Marco Dapper) - Gwen (Emily Brooke Hands), Tiffani (Rebekah Kochan) and Kyle (Jim Verraros) who will do anything to get their way. Spiderman wants to be true to himself which although happened had a tragic ending. Eating Out 2 main characters all wanted to just be true to themselves which happened although in the end one of the ancillary characters, the mother, had what was coming for her.

So what was the difference again? Oh the movie ratings... and production budgets. Overall ratings? Both are world class movies. But double world class rating for Eating Out 2 as the theatre it was played at was the gorgeous Isabel Bader. Nice cushiony seats. Very foo foo. People were nice. Getting tickets was painless. Loved it.
