Orderit.ca - World Class... so far

World ClassOne expects world class services living in a supposed world class city right? Services have to be consistently done well, have good quality products, have ease of use in navigating through their processes and efficient in responding to any issues.

Having had the luxuries of bagel deliveries from the neighbourhood deli in New York, we expect to have similar services in Toronto. We've tried restaurant delivery services but when we are really craving for different meals from different restaurants, the last thing we'd like to do is order from multiple restaurants wasting our time. Out comes www.orderit.ca. We've actually just seen this a decal on the door of one of our favorite restaurants "Il Fornello" www.OrderIt.caSo far we've had no problems with OrderIt.ca and crossing our fingers that we don't. We've ordered Indian, Italian, North American, Asian food and they come in hot and taste exactly as the meal would have tasted if ordered at the restaurant itself. The restaurant choices are varied and the delivery time is reasonable.

A bit of a downside but not enough to sway the rating down...: When you log in, the system has to take your address first before it spits out a list of open restaurants that services your location. A good idea but a bit of a usability shift for us because we're used to navigating hundreds of restaurants in NYC (we often use menupages.com ) so we didn't really mind seeing all restaurants to see the restaurant landscape and then sifting through it to get to our neighbourhood. But that wasn't the case here. Seeing 50 restaurants that serviced my area was a bit of a surprise considering I've not really seen 50 nice restaurants while walking around my 'hood. So we try each delicacy each time we aren't interested in cooking and to date, its been a good experience.

Why we've rated them World Class? Because of the fact that we're not bothered by figuring out tipping (the system gives a suggested tip), because we don't that awkward moment when we have to smile gingerly because we could only give a tooney since we've not gone to the bank to get cash yet (ergo the online ordering), because the delivery people are dressed properly, are cordial, actually say your name and let the neighbours know what you're ordering, because they just hand you your food when they've gotten to know you and not need go through the list (though they've done this the first couple of times) and because the orderit system actually allows you to have each order labeled or just be suprised because you know it will be consistently done well each time anyway. And finally, its that good feeling you have from a delivery mechanism that you have been taken cared of.

Have you used OrderIt.ca before? Post your experiences here.

Hey hows it going, great article. I dont use orderit, however I do use their competitor, SuperWaiter - http://www.superwaiter.ca Theyre a restaurant delivery company for about 15 years now in Toronto, I think the marketing is lacking, many people dont know about them. Anyways, I am splendid to use this service, they have a decent selection of restaurants that deliver and they provide good efficient service. Weve been using the service at the office too, we like the more personal custom touch than just being another office for another company. I use it at home, the wife loves it as well. Theyre currently running a 15th anniversary special, there is a 10% coupon code, SUPER10 which you can enter in when you order online. The other thing I like about their online ordering is the fact that you dont need to log in or register, you can just click and see all the restaurants, they just ask for postal code on checkout to calc delivery. Check it out!

I'm not sure about superwaiter, they say they've been around for 13 yrs on their page and this posting says 15 yrs - although that could have been a typo but for that period of time you'd think you'd get more than just one 'wings' place and a restaurant in 'comfort foods.' I'm visiting Toronto and would be ordering from OrderIt instead. Thanks for the review - it helped me in locating a company really quick as I try to get food for my staff at our meeting.Your city is lovely btw.
